I'm Georgina Roberts and I shoot Olympic Trap, having represented both Wales and Great Britain as an athlete and coach.
I've taken on the challenge of The Vitality Big Half on Sunday 1st March 2020, in order to raise money for The Mintridge Foundation. I'm so unbelievably excited to take part, but also extremely nervous about running with such a large crowd of people, so this will be a significant accomplishment for me!
I've chosen to take on this challenge becasue I'm an ambassador for The Mintridge Foundation, who are a registered charity dedicated to enhancing life skills in young people through sport. The charity provides a support network for young people by harnessing the power of positive sporting role models. The Mintridge Foundation helps young people of all ages, abilities and physical capabilities to develop confidence and resilience, and creates awareness of the importance of mental and physical wellbeing through sport. As ambassadors, we work with young people in schools, clubs and academies across the UK taking part in assemblies, coaching clinics and classroom sessions tailored to each organisation’s requirements.
The Mintridge Foundation does an amazing job and I hold the work they do very close to my heart. I would like to be able to support them in any way I can, so please help me raise money in order to allow them to keep doing what they do best.
Thank you so much!
