My Story

Sport has always been a massive part of my life - be it fencing, football or just a run around town.

Considering the last two years the importance of sport has only increased as we all tried to find some respite and escapism from the world around us.

Being able to get out and run helped me through lockdown and I have so much to thank sport for. It has given me friends and has helped make me into the person I am.

That's why I want to fundraise again for a charity that I am absolutely passionate about.

The Mintridge Foundation is dedicated to enhancing life skills in young people through sport. They provide a support network for young people by harnessing the power of positive sporting role models.

The charity assists young people of all ages, abilities and physical capabilities to develop confidence and resilience, and creates awareness of the importance of mental and physical wellbeing through sport.

Through their team of Ambassadors - Olympians, Paralympians and other professional sports stars from over 20 sports, both team and individual - they work with young people in schools, clubs and academies across the UK.

The Mintridge Foundation’s successes demonstrate the incredible power of sport; from a mentee’s selection to represent Great Britain in their chosen field to enabling disabled children to find confidence and happiness just through participation.

Any donations to this wonderful charity would be hugely appreciated as I train up to hit the streets of London for this half marathon. Thank you!
